We have recently received reports of phishing attempts against our customers. Therefore, it is more important than ever to protect yourself by recognizing a phishing attempt if you are targeted.
What is Phishing?
Phishing is a form of fraud designed to steal your identity. It works by using false pretenses to convince you to disclose sensitive private information, such as credit card numbers, passwords, or Social Security numbers.
Typical phishing scams involve sending a fraudulent email that claims to be from a trusted company. Phishing can also be carried out by other means, such as in person, over the phone, pop-up windows, and websites.
It's important to remember that Triumph Savings Bank will never ask for the following information in email:
- Credit or debit card numbers
- Account numbers
- Driver's license numbers
- Social Security numbers
- Email addresses
- Passwords
